TWO men were arrested for a catalogue of offences after being found in a stolen car in Boscombe.

They were detained on suspicion of failing to stop for police, dangerous driving, no insurance, theft of motor vehicle, theft of bikes and going equipped.

Officers from the Dorset Police No Excuse team spotted a stolen vehicle in the Charminster area yesterday (Monday May 11).

It has been taken from a driveway and had been involved in a number of crimes.

"A stolen vehicle was spotted in the Charminster area - unfortunately it didn’t hang around" said a spokesman.

"An hour later we spotted a vehicle parked up near to Boscombe seafront trying to be out of view (poor effort) up on a pavement, matching that of the stolen vehicle.

"When we got closer to the vehicle it was confirmed to be the stolen vehicle and two males were inside matching the description. We quickly detained the two males. A short time later they were both arrested."

The men are helping police with their inquiries.
