Muscliffe Lane is currently closed at the junction with Granby Road and Cox Avenue due to a gas leak.
Police and SGN are currently on the scene and the bus route has been affected.
A tweet from Bournemouth North Police said: “We are currently dealing with a gas leak on Muscliffe Lane and the road is currently closed.
“Please use alternative routes should you be doing essential travel.”
A diversion has been set up by police officers on the scene.
