POLICE were called to an alleged criminal damage incident at the Hinton Hotel in Bournemouth.
Officers were called at 12.22am on Saturday, March 21, to a "disturbance involving a man and a woman" at the town centre site in Terrace Road.
Residents in the area around the hotel at the time of the alleged incident said they saw armed police at the scene.
A spokeswoman for Dorset Police said: "Officers attended, assisted by the ambulance service.
"It is reported that damage was caused to items within a hotel room, including a chair.
"During the incident, a man sustained a minor injury to his neck and was taken to hospital for treatment."
A 25-year-old man from Verwood has been charged with criminal damage. He is due to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, April 7.
