POLICE are hunting raiders who stole outboard motors belonging to Mudeford Sea Scouts.

The two motors were stolen from the Hengistbury Head Outdoor Education Centre in Southbourne between 5pm on Friday March 20 and 10am on Monday March 23.

They were being stored in a shipping container at the centre for safekeeping.

The stolen items are a Suzuki 4-stroke outboard engine and a Johnson 2-stroke outboard engine.

Police Sergeant Richard Barnett, of Dorset Police, said: “I am appealing for anyone with any information about this burglary, or who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area at the relevant time, to please contact us.

“I am also keen to hear from anyone who has been offered engines matching the description given for sale in unusual circumstances or who has knowledge of their whereabouts.”
