THREE ordnance objects - including an mortar shell lookalike from World War Two - have been discovered in Dorset in the space of 24 hours.
The items are believed by police to be military supplies, such as weapons, ammunition, or maintenance tools.
Officers found two of the ordnance objects on Purbeck sand, while a huge item that appears as a similar shape to a mortar shell used in World War Two was found near some trees in the Purbeck area.
Mortars are typically used as indirect fire weapons.
Purbeck Police were assisted by Swanage Coastguard and the military after the discovery.
