POLICE are hunting a hit-and-run Audi driver who left a cyclist in need of hospital treatment.
They are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward following the collision in north Dorset.
The incident took place in Blandford Road, Shillingstone at 7.50pm on Wednesday march 11.
The cyclist – a man aged in his 30s – was taken to hospital by the ambulance service for treatment to cuts to his hands and head.
Police Constable Matt Saunders, of North Dorset police, said: “An investigation is underway to establish the full circumstances of the collision.
“It is believed that the cyclist may have been in collision with a silver Audi A3 that was travelling in the direction of Sturminster Newton.
“I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident, or has relevant dashcam footage to assist my enquiries, to please get in touch.
“If you were travelling along Blandford Road at the time of the incident and think you may have been the driver of the vehicle involved, please come forward.”
