Nearly 200 runners put their best foot forward in the David Lloyd Ringwood 5k road race on March 5, 2000.
Rod Finch had to make do with second place after getting caught up at the back of the 194-strong field.
Finch left himself too much to do and eventually finished ten seconds behind winner Rod Leach.
Angela Newport took the women’s honours.
