THE ORGANISERS of Highcliffe Food and Arts Festival have announced their first star chef for this year's event as Jean-Christophe Novelli.

This year’s instalment of the Highcliffe Food and Arts Festival will be held Saturday June 13 and Sunday June 14.

Jean Christophe is an award winning, multi-Michelin Starred chef is a TV favourite, a published author and will be there on Sunday June 14 in the Celebrity Theatre sponsored by Christchurch Harbour Hotel.

When he moved to the UK in 1983, Jean Christophe worked in several well-known establishments including The Chewton Glen, before his life changed completely in 1989 when invited by Keith Floyd to take charge of ‘The Maltsters’ as the Chef Patron.

This led to his move to Gordleton Mill near Lymington, where he won his first Michelin star after only one year.

Since then, Jean Christophe has appeared in a number of programmes including ‘Hell’s Kitchen’, ‘This Morning’ and ‘Culinary Genius’.

More recently he was one of the fugitives on Celebrity Hunted 2019 which aired on Channel 4.
