A FAMILY friendly festival will be returning for its third instalment to Wimborne Showground this May.

Family Fest, run by Coast Print & Design, will include over 50 Dorset traders, a food corner and more than 13 hours of live music by local artists.

Rob created the festival in late 2017 with the vision of providing a small festival that would be enjoyed by the local community and further communities in the south. The festival's main aim is to bring families and the community together in a safe, energetic and vibrant event site.

Rob Batson, the founder of Family Fest, said: ''This year's event will be larger than in previous years with a variety of things planned to include our trader's village, a funfair and our new zones; inflatable zone, dog show and eco hub.

“We are proud to be working with a range of local businesses including GinClairs, Margaret Green Animal Rescue, B Cole & Sons Funfairs and more from around the south.''

''We are also proud to be supporting five local charities by providing a trading space for free and have the festival become eco-friendly, where possible, with our new eco hub.”

The festival have already announced its event charity as Bournemouth based children’s charity Amelia's Rainbow, and travel partner as morebus, with more partnerships to be announced in the coming weeks.

Family Fest are also semi-finalists at this year’s BH Star Awards in The Community Award category.

The free festival will be held at the end of May Half Term, on Saturday May 30 and Sunday May 31 at the Wimborne Showground from 11am to 7pm.
