RAIL passengers are continuing to see disruption this morning following Storm Dennis.

National Rail says the disruption is expected until 9am.

CrossCountry services between Manchester Piccadilly and Bournemouth are affected along with South Western Railway services between London Waterloo and Weymouth.

All lines between Basingstoke and Bournemouth have now reopened between Bournemouth and Basingstoke.

However, trains will be running at a reduced speed and may be delayed by up to 15 minutes.

While trains between Basingstoke and Eastleigh may be cancelled or delayed due to a tree on the line between the stations.

Trains were unable to run between Bournemouth and Brockenhurst on Sunday due to flooding at Sway.

Bournemouth Echo:

The railway line at Sway, between Brockenhurst and New Milton on the South West Main Line, was submerged by flood water.

Trains were unable to call at Sway, New Milton, Hinton Admiral, Christchurch and Pokesdown for Boscombe.

Last night, Network Rail and South Western Railway were advising passengers to check before travelling today.
