FIVE men are due to appear at court today after ‘modified cars were caught racing each other at a Poole industrial estate’, it is alleged.
The men – Dominic Clift-Thompson, 21 and of 1 Gwenlyn Road, Poole, Oliver Davis, 24 and of Idsworth Court, Basingstoke, Robert Earls, 22 and of Jessett Drive, Church Crookham, Fleet, Jamie Li, 26 and of Orchard Close, East Hanney, Wantage, Oxfordshire, and Marc Soars, 30 and of Lower Mill, Purton, Swindon – are each charged with a single count of dangerous driving.
The five defendants are said to have committed the alleged offence in Witney Road, at the Nuffield Industrial Estate, between 5pm and 8.45pm on Sunday, June 24 2018.
All of the defendants were allegedly driving modified Lexus IS200 cars and carrying out “dangerous manoeuvres”.
Police say each of the men has been issued with a postal requisition.
They are due to appear for a preliminary hearing at Poole Magistrates’ Court this morning.
