A CRACK pipe was found in a carer's shoe after she was stopped in Poole during the morning rush-hour, police claim.
The woman was stopped behind the wheel of a vehicle in Ringwood Road at 8.30am on Wednesday.
Officers from Dorset Police's No Excuse team said it was "apparent she was under the influence of drugs".
"The vehicle was owned by an elderly man who the woman cares for," the officer said.
The driver tested positive at the roadside for cocaine and was arrested and the vehicle seized.
"While with the woman, it became apparent to her what she could lose if the test comes back as positive and the impact it is going to have on her life," the officer said.
"Once in custody, a crack pipe was found hidden in the driver's footwear."
The woman has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
