THE police helicopter assisted officers in Bournemouth as part of their investigation into an assault that saw a man arrive at hospital with a stab wound.
The victim, aged in his 30s, arrived at Royal Bournemouth Hospital on Sunday, December 8, 2019, and police were called at 3.10pm.
It was reported that the injured man had been assaulted by another man, who he is believed to know, shortly before in Wavell Road, Bournemouth.
The injured man received treatment and was discharged later on in the evening of the same day.
Yesterday, residents reported seeing the NPAS helicopter overhead in the West Howe area.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said it was assisting officers making arrest enquiries.
A 33-year-old Bournemouth man was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent. He is assisting officers with their enquiries, the spokesperson said.
