A SEARCH is being carried out to find a teenager from Christchurch who has gone missing.

Kian Quinn, 17, was last seen when he went to bed at his home address in Bronte Avenue at around 9.45pm on Wednesday.

It is not known what time he left, but police say he was not there at around 7am this morning.

Kian is described as white, around five feet four inches tall and of very slim build with brown hair.

It is not known what he was wearing when he left the house but it is believed he is likely to be in black skinny jeans and a baggy hooded top.

Chief Inspector Stuart Pitman, of Dorset Police, said: “Kian is understood to have been upset recently and we are keen to locate him as we are becoming concerned for his welfare.

“We are carrying out searches, with support from Dorset Search and Rescue (DorSAR), and conducting a number of enquiries to try and find him and I would urge anyone with information as to his whereabouts, or who sees a teenager matching the description given, to please contact us immediately.

“I would also make a direct plea to Kian if you see this appeal to please make contact with us or your family and let us know where you are as we just want to make sure you are alright.”

Anyone with information or knowledge as to Kian's whereabouts is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email 101@dorset.pnn.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting incident number 16:65.
