POLICE are calling for help to find a 'very upset' man missing from his Boscombe home.
Officers are searching for Ali Pakdel, 37, who was reported missing just before midnight yesterday.
Mr Pakdel had 'indicated to his family that he was very upset', police say. He was last seen at around 7.30pm in the Boscombe Crescent area.
He is described as Iranian, five feet eight inches tall and of big build with dark hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, navy blue Barbour jacket, black jeans and brown Timberland boots.
Officers are currently carrying out searches of the area, assisted by the NPAS helicopter and HM Coastguard.
Chief Inspector Claire Phillips, of Dorset Police, said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Ali’s welfare and are carrying out a number of enquiries to locate him.
“I am appealing to anyone with knowledge as to his whereabouts, or who has seen a man matching the description given, to please contact us immediately.
“Finally, I would like to appeal directly to Ali if you see this to please make contact with us or your family as we just want to ensure you are alright.”
Anyone with information or knowledge as to Mr Pakdel's whereabouts is asked to contact Dorset Police via dorset.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting incident number 12:352.
