A WOMAN who spat at a police officer has been ordered to pay compensation.
Emma-Lea McMullen, who is also known by her alias Emily Budden, appeared at Poole Magistrates' Court this week to admit assaulting an emergency worker by beating him.
The court heard McMullen, 29, committed the offence at her flat in Christchurch Road, near Pokesdown Railway Station, on December 10 last year.
During the incident, the defendant spat at the PC and pushed a chair into him.
She was sentenced to a £160 fine and ordered to pay £50 compensation to the officer.
No costs were ordered due to her lack of means.
