A POOLE lifeboat crew went to the aid of two people on board a broken-down fishing boat five miles south of Hengistbury Head.
Coastguards received an emergency call just after 5pm on Sunday and found the vessel at anchor with no electrics and no means of starting the engine.
A lifeboat crew member transferred across to the boat and attached a tow rope.
The boat was towed into Poole Harbour and on to it s berth at Parkstone Yacht Club.
