A BODY believed to be that of missing man Owen Lavelle has been found in Bournemouth.
Mr Lavelle, 37, was reported missing at 9.25am on Sunday December 29 after riding away from an address in Baverstock Road in Poole on his bicycle during the night.
He was said to have been very upset recently.
Police were called to a wooded area in Talbot Avenue ay 11.20am today where a body of a man had been discovered.
While the body is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of Owen. His family has been made aware and is being supported by officers. The coroner has been informed.
Chief Inspector Neil Wood, of Dorset Police, said: “Our thoughts are with Owen’s family and friends at this very sad time.
“We would like to thank all those who assisted with searches and shared our appeals over recent days.”
