CCTV has been released after a stolen card was used in a branch of Co-op.
Police are calling for anyone with information to come forward after the incident, which happened in Gillingham on Monday, October 21.
A woman was shopping at the Waitrose in Chantry Fields that morning when she realised her purse was missing.
One of the cards that had been in her purse was then used in the Co-Op store in Mere at around 1.30pm that same day for a transaction of £24.47.
Inspector Simon Perry, of North Dorset police, said: “Officers have been carrying out enquiries into this incident and have made efforts to identify a man captured on CCTV who is believed to have used the stolen card.
“However, we have so far been unable to identify him and I would urge anyone who knows who he is to please contact us.”
