BOURNEMOUTH residents are one step closer to being bowled away by a stylish new venue in the town centre.

New equipment has now been delivered to Bowl Central in Westover Road, including the pin machines which were specially made in the United States.

The venue, currently known as Fun Central, will feature six black walnut lanes and an urban cocktail bar.

Staff on social media said: "We are happy to announce an exciting new expansion. We will now be known as Bowl Central.

“Check back soon for updates on the progress of the expansion, and for even more announcements.”

It is unknown exactly when Bowl Central will be unveiled, but a spokesperson confirmed it will be before Christmas.

In response to questions about Fun Centre’s amusement offering, the centre said: "Our arcade will remain the same, and as always we will have new prizes added to our prize wall."
