Person hit by train between Dorchester and Wareham
Services are at a standstill after a person was hit by a train.
The incident happened on the line between Wareham and Dorchester South.
All lines are currently blocked.
A spokesman for South Western Railway said: “We have received reports that a person has been struck by a train between Wareham and Dorchester South.
“Our response teams are working with the emergency services to assist with the incident.
“In order to allow emergency services access to the railway all power to the track will need to be switched off in the affected area.”
Trains from Southampton will now terminate at Bournemouth, Poole or Wareham.
A replacement bus service will be running from Bournemouth to Weymouth.
