FIREFIGHTERS were called to a blaze at a Wallisdown home last night.
A neighbour heard alarms sounding at an address in Ridout Close, behind the King's Arms Pub, just before 9.10pm and called 999.
One fire engine based at Redhill Park initially attended. However, once the crew arrived, two more engines from Westbourne and Springbourne were called.
It was initially believed there may be a person trapped inside the property, although it was later confirmed that there was no one inside the address.
A spokesperson from the Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "The crew found smoke issuing from the address and got to work to extinguish the fire.
"Firefighters worked with police and the ambulance service."
Police say the fire is not suspicious.
