VERWOOD parents have been asked if they know where their children are in the evenings after an incident late last week.

Police based in the town were called out on Sunday, October 6 after receiving reports of children climbing scaffolding and removing tiles from the roof of a home in the town.

The youngsters then threw the tiles to the ground close to the entrance of the building.

A spokesperson from Dorset Police said: "Thankfully none of the residents were exiting the building at the time.

"Please talk to your children and young people about the possible consequences of their behaviour, including how it may leave others feeling, the cost of the damage and who will have to pay for it, as well as their own safety and that of others.

"Verwood is a safe place to live and work. It has a great community.

"Please let's keep it that way."
