A WOMAN has been ordered to 'keep the peace' by magistrates – despite a charge against her being dismissed.
Diane Beale, of no fixed abode, appeared at Poole Magistrates' Court on Monday to deny being drunk and disorderly in Southbourne Overcliff Drive on July 27.
Prosecutors dismissed the charges against her by offering no evidence.
However, the 56-year-old was sentenced to a binding over order, under which she must keep the peace for six months or pay £50. The order bans her from getting drunk and 'causing a nuisance to others'.
Magistrates heard the disposal was the "most appropriate in the circumstances" and had been agreed between both parties.
