A MAN who found stolen scratchcards from Westbourne's Tesco Express cashed them in to win £140, a court has heard.
Hozol Hoque, 44, appeared at Poole Magistrates' Court on Tuesday to admit theft and two counts of fraud by false representation.
Cards worth more than £1,000 were stolen from the Tesco in Poole Road. Hoque, of Seamoor Road in Westbourne, then found some of the cards on May 21.
He then cashed them in at Central Express in Westbourne on the same day, and at Square News in Richmond Hill, Bournemouth on May 23.
Despite the quantity stolen, Hoque won just £133.
Hoque was fined £80 and ordered to pay a £30 surcharge and £85 costs.
He was also ordered to repay the full £133 won from the cards.
