GARDEN lights were stolen from a quiet cul-de-sac by the passenger of a little black car, police say.
Officers are calling for Sherborne residents to stay wary after the incident, which happened in an address off the Ridgeway on Monday, September 16.
PCSO Mark Jones of Sherborne Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team said: "A small black hatchback car containing a driver and passenger was spotted driving in to a cul-de-sac in the Ridgeway area.
"The passenger, who was described as young and thin, was seen to enter a front garden and steal two solar powered garden lights that had been wedged into the ground before the car sped off.
"It is unsure whether the passenger was male or female. Unfortunately, the neighbour observing this incident was unable to record the vehicle registration number."
