C WILDMAN'S assertion that Boris Johnson "did not create this mess" makes one wonder where he was when his hero co-authored the impossible promises of the leave campaign.

Has CW also missed that, contrary to "doing his damnedest to resolve it", Johnson is now determined to crash out with nothing to show other than a devalued currency and the prospect of a severely damaged economy?

His attempts to circumvent the legislative authority of Parliament is, on its own, a good reason not to respond to the call to trust and support a politician whose veracity and commitment to the national interest have been shown to be of the very lowest order.
