POLICE say they are "very concerned" for a man who disappeared from work on Thursday afternoon.

Andrew Budden, 39, left his workplace in Blandford at around 2pm and was last seen in the town centre at 3.30pm. He has not returned to his home in Walpole Road, Boscombe or attended work as expected on Friday.

He was reported missing at 11.40pm on Thursday.

Officers searching for Mr Budden say he is described as white, five feet 11 inches tall, of slim build and with long curly hair tied back.

He wears glasses and was last seen wearing black trousers, a grey Bristol Maid branded top and beige work boots.

His blue Hyundai I30 with the registration HD09 DNJ is missing. He also has access to a small inflatable dingy, which he carries in the boot of his car.

Inspector David Parr, of Dorset Police, said: “Andrew’s disappearance is completely out of character. He requires daily medication and it is not known if he has this with him. Due to the passage of time that Andrew has been missing we are very concerned for him and we need to locate him to ensure he is safe and well.

“I would urge anyone who has seen Andrew, his car or a man matching the description given to please call Dorset Police urgently.

“Finally, if Andrew sees this appeal I would ask him to please contact us or your family as we all just want to make sure you are alright.”

Anyone with information or knowledge as to Andrew's whereabouts is asked to contact Dorset Police via dorset.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55190140286.
