A TEENAGER broke his arm after jumping from an arch, hitting a rock and plunging into the sea at a Purbeck beauty spot.

Emergency services were called to Stair Hole, just west of Lulworth Cove, on Tuesday afternoon.

Coastguard officials say a 14-year-old boy was hurt. Paramedics were called to the area to help.

A spokesman from Lulworth Coastguard Rescue Team said: “A coastguard rescue officer was on scene with the first response from an early stage and helped provide initial first aid.

“After an assessment, the boy was very carefully walked back to the top of the hill.

“His family then took him for further assessment at A&E.

“While the team were finishing the first job another coastguard rescue officer was approached and directed towards a second casualty.

“This time a teenager had fallen around the heritage centre and had an ankle injury.

“Lulworth first responders helped the coastguard rescue team with first aid.

“The casualty was helped aboard a bus, taking him to a minor injuries unit.

“With all casualties now on their way for further treatment, the team stood down.”
