OFFICERS are appealing for help from the public to find a woman from Wareham who has gone missing.

Eileen Samways, aged 72, was reported missing at 9.50am on Thursday, August 15, after it was discovered that she was not at her home address in Sherford Drive.

She was last spoken to at 9.55am the previous day.

Chief Inspector Wayne Nock, of Dorset Police, said: “Eileen has been upset recently and we are becoming increasingly concerned as she has not been seen or heard from since yesterday morning.

“I am appealing to anyone who has seen Eileen, or a woman matching her description, to urgently contact Dorset Police.

“If Eileen sees this appeal I would ask her to please get in touch as we and your family want to ensure you are safe and well.”

She is described as white, five feet three inches tall and of very slim build with short grey hair.

Officers are currently carrying out searches in the local area, assisted by the NPAS helicopter.
