POLICE believe vandals who damaged a fence at a property in a quiet lane in Poole may have been trying to steal a caravan.
An investigation has been launched after the incident, which happened in Merley in the early hours of Tuesday, August 13.
A spokesperson from Dorset Police said: "Sometime after 12.15am on Tuesday, criminal damage was caused to a property in the Merley House Lane area.
"The offenders cut and peeled back a wire fence, possibly with the intention of stealing a caravan.
"Anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious, or those with information, should call Dorset Police on 101 quoting 55190125926."
