A NETBALL teacher from a Poole school scooped a national award for her commitment and success in delivering the sport to youngsters.
Hayley McCalister, head of PE at Parkstone Grammar School, received the Netball Teacher of the Year Award at the Vitality ‘Goalden Globes’.
The honours came as England hosted the Netball World Cup in Liverpool, with Tracey Neville’s Roses finishing third.
Ms McCalister received the awards in recognition for outstanding contribution to netball delivery in the education environment.
The national prize involved nominees being put forward before a combination of a public vote and judging by an expert panel.
Nominees across the various prizes were praised for their long and exceptional service to netball.
