It's the second large-scale operation to be uncovered by officers from the Bournemouth North Neighbourhood Policing Team in just a week-and-a-half.

A spokesperson from Dorset Police said: "At 11pm on Friday, July 19, officers from the Bournemouth North Neighbourhood Policing Team attended an address in Craigmoor Avenue following reports of a strong smell of cannabis coming from the property.

"A 17-year-old boy, of no fixed abode, was arrested at the address on suspicion of being concerned in the production of a class B drug.

"A search of the premises was carried out and a large number of suspected cannabis plants were discovered, as well as equipment allegedly used to cultivate the drug.

"The boy was further arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class B drug.

"He has been released under investigation as officers continue their investigation."

Officers from Bournemouth North posted on the team's Facebook page about the find.

"Thanks to all involved in assisting with this find."

As reported, a factory which turned out hundreds of thousands of pounds-worth of the class B drug was found in Coronation Avenue, Winton on July 10.

Officers hailed the “amazing find” and said cannabis worth approximately £200,000 had been seized.

A spokesperson from Dorset Police said officers had smelled cannabis when the resident opened the front door of the address at around 11.35am.

A 26-year-old man was initially arrested on suspicion of possessing cannabis.

Police then searched the property and a "large quantity of suspected cannabis" was found.

The arrested man was further arrested on suspicion of producing a class B drug and possessing a class B drug with intent to supply.

He has been released under investigation.
