TO celebrate the stunning images produced by members of our Echo Camera Club Dorset group the Daily Echo held our largest ever photography competition.

There were five separate prizes up for grabs, with submitted photographs also forming part of our upcoming Dorset in Pictures publication.

Each prize winner received a voucher to spend with group sponsors Castle Cameras.

Dorset in Pictures will be published this summer – all images in the publication were competition entries.

The winner of the cover prize is the breathtaking ‘Galactic’ which was taken at Kimmeridge Bay by John Hanson. John will receive a £75 voucher and the coveted cover spot for his image.

The ‘overall winning image’ by Fobo Bright gains her a £200 voucher and her photograph will be used across two pages of the publication.

The second prize image by Dan Sands, called ‘Bird Box’, nets him a £100 voucher, and his image will feature on a double page spread with the runner-up images by Marilyn Jane Peddle and Simon Bridge, who both receive a £50 voucher.

Dorset in Pictures will have a cover price of £2.95.

Echo Camera Club Dorset, which has around 3,000 members, is a free to join community for anyone with a passion for photography and the stunning landscape, nature and life in Dorset.

Each week hundreds of images are posted by photographers, young and old, hoping to see their work in print, and a selection of their pictures appear regularly in the Daily Echo, Dorset Echo and the Dorset Living magazine.

We hope you enjoy this unique view of the county we all love. See the camera club here facebook.com/groups/echocameraclubdorset
