TWO international companies with operations in Dorset have seen their bosses named among the best in the UK.

Jobs site Glassdoor published a list of the top leaders of companies with at least 1,000 staff, based on anonymous feedback from employees.

The top 10 included Juergen Maier, chief executive of Siemens UK, which has 500 staff in Poole, and Jamie Dimon, chairman and chief executive of JP Morgan, which has 4,000 workers in Bournemouth – although he is based in the US.

The rest of 10 were Anglian Water's Peter Simpson, Network Rail's Andrew Haines, Metro Bank's Craig Donaldson, Bloomberg's Michael R Bloomberg, BlackRock's Laurence D Fink, Morgan Stanley's James P Gorman, Rolls-Royce's Warren East and Shell's Ben van Beurden.

Christian Sutherland-Wong, Glassdoor's president and chief operating officer, said: "Today's job seekers are looking for leaders who share their values and will empower them to bring their full selves to work.

"More and more, we're seeing top chief executives make decisions to shape the culture of their organisations to help recruit and retain quality talent, which has a direct correlation to fuelling business success."
