MEMBERS of Boscombe Community Forum have taken their first steps towards opening a community office.

With the donation of furniture from the Boscombe branch of Santander, which closed on Thursday, and the offer of a favourable lease from the Sovereign Shopping Centre, the Boscombe Forum are planning on providing a community space available to local groups and charitable ventures.

BCP councillors including vice-chairman Cllr George Farquhar, as well as volunteers from local charities, helped to move the furniture into its current location in the Sovereign Shopping Centre.

Mog Morrison, co-chair of the Boscombe Community Forum, said: β€œIt’s early days and we still have many details to sort out, but the voice of Boscombe Community is being heard.”

The group are being supported in their venture by all local councillors as well as the BCP Community team. Boscombe Community Forum would also like to the volunteers for their hard work.
