A 16-YEAR-OLD boy from Poole arrested in connection with a reported serious sexual assault in Weymouth town centre has been released on police bail.
The incident was reported to have occurred outside an address in Frederick Place at around 4.30am on Saturday May 18, with the victim an 18-year-old local woman.
An investigation was launched by detectives and the boy was arrested on suspicion of attempted rape. He has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
Detectives are continuing to appeal for any witnesses, or anyone with information, who have not already spoken to police to contact them.
