FANS were out in Force for Bournemouth’s first Star Wars Appreciation Day on Saturday, May 4.
The event at Boscombe’s Sovereign Centre included a costume contest and photo opportunities.
Dorset Troopers, an all voluntary non-profit costume group, were on hand with visitors able to pose for pictures with Storm Troopers, Imperial Officers and Darth Vader.
Debbie Welch, of Dorset Troopers, said: “We are always very popular with fans of Star Wars.
“Everything we raise goes to Julia’s House Children’s Hospice.
“Our group has a very family-orientated and close feel.”
