STAR Wars fans will be able to dress up and brush up their lightsaber skills in Boscombe at the weekend.
Appropriately held on May the 4th, the Sovereign Shopping Centre will host Bournemouth's first Star Wars Appreciation Day, between 11am and 3pm.
Fans can take part in the costume contest which a chance to win a prize, and join in for photo opportunities with the Dorset Troopers.
Organisers said: "If you are a padawan, a Jedi, a droid, or if you have not yet decided, join in the fun and sharpen your lightsaber skills in the Jedi Academy, with a chance to meet Darth Vader and earn your certificate from Boscombe Jedi council.
"The event is free, no need to book, just turn up, put on a Jedi cape and change your destiny."
The event is raising funds for the Julia's House hospice charity and is part of the Bournemouth Emerging Arts Fringe organised in conjunction with the Bournemouth Coastal BID.
