POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a fail-to-stop collision that left a teenager with minor injuries.

Emergency services were called to the LV roundabout, Poole Road, Poole, at 10.36pm on Thursday.

The accident involved a 17-year-old local boy, who was riding a bicycle, and a small car, possibly a Peugeot 106.

Officers say initially the driver stopped, but then got back into his car and drove away before police arrived at the scene.

He is described as aged in his 70s, white and was wearing glasses and a black eye patch over his right eye.

The cyclist sustained what is believed to be minor injuries and was taken to Poole Hospital for an X-ray on his ankle.

Police Constable Hannah Loveridge said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or may have captured it on dashcam to please contact me.

"I would also urge the driver involved to please make contact so we can establish the circumstances of this incident."
