FORMER pupils of Melverley School are invited to what could be the last reunion on Saturday, April 27.
The school began at Clevedon Lodge in 1931 with Miss Bliss as headmistress. It then moved to Rowlands Hill, and Avishays house was acquired in 1945 as a boarding house, with the addition of Melbury Lodge in 1953.
After Miss Bliss retired in 1957, the school was bought by Kenneth and Barbara Robinson, herself a former pupil, who ran the school from 1958 until its closure in 1970.
This sadly may be the last reunion. If you can attend, please reply as soon as possible by calling Helen Martin on 01202 825774 or 01202 872423.
