LITTER pickers hope to remove some 300kg of plastic from the environment this weekend, but they need your help.
Plastic Free Seas is holding its second major clean-up, this time along the River Stour.
A spokesman said: "The Plastic Free Seas team will be visiting the River Stour in Dorset for a much-needed river clean.
"After a number of complaints about this stretch of river we have decided to go on the hunt for as much plastic waste as possible.
"Bring the family, walk the dog, get some exercise and have some fun."
To help, meet at Iford BMX track car park in Iford Lane, Christchurch, at 10am on Saturday, March 23.
Bags are provided, but bring gloves and a drink.
The team will weigh and sort all collected rubbish at the end of the event, at around noon.
Volunteers will receive a free Plastic Free Seas Worldwide t-shirt.
The clean-up is sponsored by Wessex Motors.
