POLICE have appealed for help to trace a man wanted in connection with breaching his licence after being released from prison yesterday.
They have urged members of the public to call 999 immediately if they see Phillip Torrance, 36, from Gillingham in north Dorset.
He is described as white, around six feet tall and of slim build with short brown hair.
Inspector Simon Perry said: "We have been carrying out a number of enquiries since yesterday in a bid to locate Phillip Torrance and these efforts remain ongoing.
"While we have no information to suggest that he presents a direct risk to members of the public, I would urge anyone who sees Torrance not to approach him but to immediately contact Dorset Police on 999."
Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting occurrence number 55190039996 or Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555 111.
