A MAN has come forward following a CCTV appeal after a man with Asperger’s was assaulted in Bournemouth.
It was reported that a 21-year-old man entered the Inside London Market convenience store on Old Christchurch Road on February 14 and was verbally abused by a group of men about his disability.
A short time later, it was reported that the victim was assaulted on Old Christchurch Road.
He was taken to hospital for treatment to a small lump on his head and concussion.
Earlier today, detectives issued a CCTV image of three men they wanted to speak to in connection with the incident.
Dorset Police said this afternoon that a man has made himself known to officers and will be voluntarily interviewed.
Detectives have also received information as to the identity of the other two men they wanted to speak to.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “At this stage, no arrests have been made.”
