DORSET & Wiltshire fire brigade lost a hose worth £150 and a defibrillator worth £300 during 2018.
The information came to light following a Freedom of Information request which also revealed that the service had 'a few' items of 'low value' worth less than £500 'missing from inventory' during that time.
A spokesman for the service said: "These items would have been replaced on the appliances as a matter of urgency as soon as they had been reported missing."
He added that the service had been using an Asset Management System for several years, which has aided in dramatically reducing the number of items of lost operational equipment.
