POLICE are urging people to be aware of a vehicle seen in ‘suspicious circumstances’ in the Purbeck area.
Dorset Police’s rural crime team said the blue Ford Transit had the registration number given as GU**SKK.
The occupants of the vehicle have been seen ‘acting suspiciously’ around farms and outbuildings.
Police said that when the driver was challenged, he said he was looking for batteries and scrap metal.
Anyone who sees the vehicle or other suspicious vehicles or occupants committing a crime is being urged to call 999 immediately.
Police urged people to make details of the registration number along with descriptions of the driver and any passengers.
