A MEMBER of the Daily Echo’s Camera Club has snapped-up three prizes in a national photography competition.

Emily Endean, 36, from Southbourne, won three awards at The Guild of Photographers Awards thanks to her striking image of Porthcawl Lighthouse taken during Storm Brian last October.

The ceremony was held at Crewe Hall in Crewe on Saturday night (February 2)

Emily was named runner-up in the Landscape Image of the Year category as well as winning The Photographers’ Bar, which means she has scored highly in every monthly competition run by The Guild of Photographers over the year.

She also won the prestigious Members’ Choice Award after she was selected as winner by members of The Guild of Photographers.

Emily said: “It's been a bit of a whirl wind, very exciting.”

She described winning the Members’ Choice award as “a huge accolade to be voted image of the year by my peers.”

The image also earned Emily a place in the final four of the British Photography Awards and a commendation in the Landscape Photographer of the Year competition.
