POSTIE Shirli Valentine could be delivering thousands of love letters across Bournemouth next week.
The aptly-named Royal Mail postwoman is preparing to deliver Valentine's Day cards throughout her local Winton patch on Thursday. (Feb 14)
Shirli, who has worked as a postwoman for 15 years, says she enjoys her 'designated role of spreading the love in the local community.
The 44-year-old added: "I'm always kept very busy around Valentine's Day, as cards in particular are very popular on my route.
"It is nice to know that I am seen as a local cupid of sorts."
Wednesday February 13 is officially the last Royal Mail posting date before St Valentine's Day for first class stamps.
The film Shirley Valentine is an award-winning 1989 British romantic comedy-drama starring Pauline Collins, who plays Shirley a housewife from Liverpool who has a life-changing holiday romance in Greece.
