WE'VE captured yet more drivers who are distracted at the wheel.

Bournemouth Echo:

In just over an hour, we spotted all of these motorists using their mobiles while travelling along a stretch of carriageway which has a 50 mile per hour limit.

Bournemouth Echo:

We also saw one man reading while driving.

Bournemouth Echo:

Most of the motorists have their eyes off the road and aren't concentrating on driving.

Bournemouth Echo:

The images were taken above the A338 Wessex Way close to the Springbourne flyover. One of the drivers even has learner plates on his car.

Over the years, we have pictured hundreds of drivers using their phones and featured them in galleries in a bid to highlight road safety issues.

Bournemouth Echo:

Using a phone or a sat nav when driving or riding a motorbike is illegal. Those caught breaking the law can be issued with six points or a £200 fine.

Bournemouth Echo:

Drivers who passed their test within two years of the offence will lose their licence.

Dorset Police list speeding as one of the 'fatal five', a list of actions a driver can take that make a collision more likely.

Bournemouth Echo:

Traffic officers say 98 per cent of collisions are caused by human error, with just two per cent caused by unavoidable issues such as mechanical failure.

The fatal five are driving at excess or inappropriate speed; failing to wear a seatbelt; using a mobile phone; driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs; and careless or inconsiderate driving.
