MORE than 1,000 tickets have been bought for the first draw in the new BH Coastal Lottery.
Up to £25,000 can be won in the scheme, with 60p from each £1 ticket going to local causes.
The lottery was launched at Pier Approach last week by Mayor Derek Borthwick, Cllr Jane Kelly and Ruaidhri O’Mahony of the Russell-Cotes Museum, one of the groups the lottery will help.
“We want to help local good causes,” said Cllr Kelly.
“This is a great way for the public to provide support and also, potentially, win some money at the same time.”
The first draw takes place at 8pm on Saturday, March 2.
Alongside cash prizes, the maiden draw includes the chance to win a mini break in one of the new Bournemouth beach huts. For more information and to buy tickets for the draw, visit bhcoastallottery.co.uk.
